For Experienced and confident divers only
The Experience
This dive is certainly for the more adventurous and confident divers. Travel out to the warm Agulhas current where you come face to face with the two shark species that can most certainly be listed as some of the most beautiful sharks around the African coast. Diving in the pelagic current is a once in a life time experience. Here, off the point of Simons Town, you will experience these stunning blue and silver sharks flash past you with lighting speed. Although they are fast in the water you will have plenty of time to marvel at beauty and agility.
The crew will start chumming for the blue and mako sharks as soon as the boat decides on a good dive location. Once the chum is in the water the waiting period begins. Sometimes we only need a few minutes for the action to start however sometimes we have to wait longer. This dive is not only far off-shore but it is also extremely deep at roughly 1000 meters deep. Divers have to pay attention and do precisely as the dive master instructs. Apart from seeing blue and mako sharks, clients can also be spoiled to a number of other sea creatures which have paid our divers a visit on some previous dives. Sperm whales, whale shark and pilot whales are some of those special visitors.
