Forest Lodge
The Lodge consists of 16 luxurious freestanding suites that are surrounded by a 1500 year old Milk wood Forest – it can be seen as an architectural masterpiece of stylish and modern design. To maximize the sweeping views across the fynbos and dunes to the ocean, the volumes of space are framed by glass, steel and natural brick.
The lodge consists of the main lodge with a restaurant and bar, spacious lounge area, gallery, infinity pool and a conference centre. Beneath the overhang of Milk wood trees, the individual luxury suites provide the ideal mix of privacy and comfort.
Each suite is furnished with rich textures, have a romantic canopy bed with the finest linen and down quilts and spacious sunny bathrooms. The separate lounges have cozy fireplaces, well stocked mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe to keep your valuables. From your private deck, you can take in all the sights and sounds of Grootbos, especially the sun disappearing from the flaming sky into the Atlantic Ocean.

Garden Lodge
This beautiful lodge can be located between indigenous Fynbos gardens with breathtaking views. Garden lodge is made from stone, thatch and fine timber with a typical African essence.
Garden Lodge is the original Grootbos lodge which is surrounded by three hectares of indigenous fynbos and forest gardens. The 11 luxurious freestanding suites are in this magnificent nature setting. Garden Lodge was renovated in a way that reflects stylish and contemporary inspirations. All the suites have a romantic canopy bed and spacious en-suite bathrooms. The separate lounges have cozy fireplaces, well stocked mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and a wooden deck to enjoy the views over the bay.

There is a spacious private outside deck that overlooks the Walker Bay area. All One-Bedroom Classic Suites have a separate shower and toilet, satellite TV and secure room safes, all these facilities are standard. These suites don’t have a bath, they are only equipped with a shower.
Two-bedroom Luxury Suites
These suites are ideal for families or friends travelling together. The suite has the following features:

The latest addition to the Grootbos portfolio is The Villa, which can be found with six elegant suites that are hidden in the natural wonderland of the reserve. A private butler, chef and guide will be at your service to fulfill your needs during your stay. The Villa is for exclusive use only and has incredible views of the whale watching sanctuary of Walker Bay. This is one of the most luxurious villas in South Africa.
Surrounded in the natural wonderland of Grootbos, the Villa consists of 6 elegant suites with mesmerizing 180o views of the Walker Bay. You can relax in the two lounge areas, private dining room, media room with a big screen and projector, wine cellar, outside BBQ area, private pool as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
